The Videojet 1620FG is a continuous inkjet (CIJ) printer purpose-built for direct food contact coding, specifically designed to print expiration dates, batch codes, and traceability data directly onto eggshells and other edible surfaces. It uses specially formulated food-grade inks that comply with stringent safety regulations, ensuring printed information is non-toxic and safe for consumers.

Engineered for the unique challenges of food production, the 1620FG incorporates CleanFlow™ printhead technology, which actively prevents ink buildup and nozzle clogging—a common cause of downtime in standard inkjet systems. This is complemented by Dynamic Calibration™, which automatically adjusts jetting parameters to maintain consistent, high-quality print clarity even as environmental conditions change.
